Grand Theft Auto V

The GTAV iFruit App Removed From IOS App & Google Play Stores

The Grand Theft Auto V iFruit Companion App has been removed from both the IOS App Store and Android Google Play Store (including for Windows Phone & PlayStation Vita).

The app which launched alongside the GTAV Worldwide release back in 2013 in conjunction with the official Game Manual App allowed users to access their Los Santos Customs garage to edit licence plates and vehicles; feed and nurture our beloved Chop via the Chop the Dog app, access GTAV: The Manual as well as a home page to launch other Rockstar Games titles available on mobile devices.

It is currently unknown as to when the app was removed from the stores or why they have been removed. The likelihood is that either download statistic were low and it is not financially beneficial for Rockstar to keep it on the stores; or they have removed it to make way for a new app in development similar to the PC’s ‘Rockstar Launcher’ which will accompany all Rockstar Games mobile titles including the GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition which is still due to release on Android and IOS in the coming months.

The link for the App Store does not work and displays a Error 404 message, however the Play Store does work on desktop but is available / unavailable for different people when searching it on the store. On opening the app a number of users have stated it displays a message saying a bug has been detected and then the app automatically closes.

We have reached out to Rockstar Games to see if they can comment on the app’s removal.
