Grand Theft Auto VI

New GTA 6 Trailer Could Release in November

It’s been over 300 days since the first debut trailer released for GTA 6, and Rockstar Games have stayed shtum on the project ever since.

So when are they going to finally reveal more?

Well, we could spend hours or in fact even days, speculating when Rockstar are going to reveal more about Grand Theft Auto VI, and the truth is, nobody really knows. Since the gameplay leaks and trailer leaked, they’ve become quieter than ever on sharing information to news outlets, streamers, community members and even their own staff. Both GTAV and prior, staff would be informed of an upcoming trailer and provided early access to seeing it a day or 2 before… but since the leaks, not even that happens anymore.

Rockstar’s marketing strategy has inevitably changed from what it use to be like. The Tuesday afternoon announcements, the information in an October… it’s all meaningless, but there are still a few things that occur which could indicate a potential date for some news.

The first thing is that Take-Two Interactive have their Q2 2025 Earnings Conference Call on Wednesday November 6th. The purpose of this call is for T2 to update investors of revenue generated from previous game releases, along with projections for the upcoming and continued fiscal year.

Lets not forget, Take-Two are also the ones to have revealed the FALL 2025 release window for GTA VI, not Rockstar Games. It hasn’t been uncommon historically for Rockstar Games to make announcements on current and upcoming games prior to and / or immediately before an earnings call. The same happened last year with GTAVI’s announcement.

Back in October 2023, Rockstar announced Red Dead Redemption was being ported to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Less than a month later, Rockstar announced in a message from Co-Founder Sam Houser, that they would be showing off the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto game, now known to be GTA6. This also happened to be the exact same day as the Take-Two Q3 2024 Earnings Call, inevitably boosting investors and stocks for Take-Two with the breaking news.

So the question is, will history repeat itself? Yesterday, Rockstar Games announced that Red Dead Redemption would be coming to PC after 14 years since its initial release and Take-Two Interactive have their Earnings Call on Nov 6, meaning if it does repeat itself, we could be a few weeks away from having an announcement from Rockstar and potentially a new trailer.

Grand Theft Auto VI is still on track for a Fall 2025 release, meaning an September – November 2025 release window is likely providing there is no delay (lets face it, it most likely will be). Rockstar has a tendency to have a 6-month marketing period prior to release, so the end of 2024 would be a suitable time to release Trailer 2, with a few more months of silence before full marketing begins in April/March time.

It’s anyone’s guess and whilst the community is hungry for more information, we just need to wait a little longer!
